Requirements for Membership:
1. Fill and Submit the online application form with complete details.
2. Attach your CV/transcript to the application form.
3. Make a one-time non-refundable payment of ₦5,200 (five thousand, two hundred naira only) for the application.
4. Wait for one (1) week for verification. You will receive an email of confirmation and induction details from the AFPON Evaluation Committee.
5. Proceed to pay annual membership dues for your membership level.
Membership dues cover the period between December 1st, of one year and November 30th, of the following year.
Qualification and Membership Levels
Fellow Membership
Experts in the field undertaking laboratory analysis and expert testimony in court for at least 7 years. In addition to research, training, and author journal or book on forensics, he or she may have contributed immensely to the establishment of the Association and/or development of forensics in Nigeria.
The membership price is ₦24,300.00 per year.
Active Membership
Individuals must be actively engaged as an examiner, analysts, practitioners, or supervisors in forensics. The individual may have had a professional endeavor or an auxiliary enterprise comprising a significant amount of professional activity.

Associate Membership
Individuals wholly or partially engaged in forensic sciences and researchers in related fields of forensics such as law and science. Also officers in the military, law enforcement, medical practitioners, engineers, lawyers, psychologists, and persons with an interest in forensics investigation.
Associate members are subject to the same rules and are entitled to all rights and privileges of Active membership except holding the offices of President or Vice-President.
The membership price is ₦24,300.00 per year.
Student Membership
Full-time university or college student majoring in forensic science, law, or paralegal studies. Applicants must include a letter or current transcript from their educational institution.
The membership price is ₦6,000.00 per year.
